Recently, Microsoft has released the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16184 intended for PCs and with Build 15208 for all mobiles. This update features sets of bug fixes and improvements, with one feature that stands out from the pack known as My People.
According to Venture Beat, Microsoft wanted consumers to connect with their contacts more easily and conveniently, the main purpose of My People. How this works is so simple, consumers pin friends or family to the taskbar like they're apps, and then users can always send them a message with a tap of a button. However, the current limit is set at three contacts for now and Skype is the default messaging platform.
Whether users want to share a photo, make plans for dinner, or get an answer from a friend or coworker. Microsoft's My People is there to take it to the next level and bring the people they care about most to the center of their experience.
According to The Verge, Microsoft also recognized the new experience for Gmail accounts in Windows 10 Mail and Calendar apps, which was recently revealed last April 21, 2017. Basically, this feature will be only available for users who have an Outlook.com or Office 365 email address before will now is accessible to Gmail users. For a clearer explanation, users can now use Focused Inbox that helps them stay on top of important emails, and the functions that let users handle travel reservations and package deliveries more conveniently.
Microsoft gives importance for issues on both mobile and PC. Some improvements and fixes worth noting on the PC side which includes resolving freezing issues in "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive," boosted load time of the Notification Settings. Meanwhile, mobile users shouldn't run into the issue where shutting down takes 20 seconds or longer than usual due to switching one network to another anymore. Microsoft killed Windows phones, cutting 40 percent of the handsets in the wild after Creators Update.
