Samsung Galaxy Note 8 New Leaked Image; Suggests Galaxy S8 Like Design

Apr 14, 2017 03:54 AM EDT

New alleged leaked images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note8 have been posted by LeakSpinner on SlashLeaks. In the latest leaked images, the upcoming flagship phablet looks similar to Galaxy S8 in the pictures.

An image claiming to be the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has surfaced on Slashleaks via Leakspinner, a contributor that has been bang on the money when it comes to Samsung leaks in the past. There is only one image of the Samsung Galaxy Note8 in the leak, but it shows a large phone running Bixby, which is Samsung's own virtual assistant. The leaked Samsung Galaxy Note8 itself looks similar to the recently just unveiled Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus smartphones, with a full-frontal screen and no physical home button, as reported by Pocket-Lint.

In the leaked image posted by LeakSpinner, Samsung Galaxy Note8 looks almost identical to the flagship Galaxy S8. However, the minor difference in the body could be observed as Samsung Galaxy Note8 seems more square-shaped than Galaxy S8.

There's also the S Pen in the leaked image, sitting beside the alleged Samsung Galaxy Note8 device, which is the biggest point of difference between the Galaxy Note and other Galaxy S series. But there's also something that lets this "leaked image" down: the lack of a slot for the S Pen to be housed in the device.

According to Forbes, Galaxy Note 5 users coming to the end of their two-year contracts might be looking for the next big thing. The burning fate of the Note 7 meant Samsung has been putting more focus on the S8 as a suitable Note replacement. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note8 is going to have to deal with a six-month-old fox in its hen-house, as opposed to a retiring-year-old warhorse.

Because of this is a new design, there's no official Samsung branding to be seen in the leaked Samsung Galaxy Note8 image, but considering the design similarities, it would be fair to assume this is a Samsung device. Sammobile has also previously uncovered the model number SM-N950F that adds further evidence to the device's existence.

Assuming that the phone in the picture is indeed the Samsung Galaxy Note8, it hints at the inclusion of Samsung's first virtual assistant Bixby, and no physical Home button like to the Galaxy S8 and S8+ launched a few weeks ago. But, like all rumors, we have to take this with a pinch of salt before more credible leaks come down. Stay tuned to Droid Report for more updates.
