‘Pokemon GO’ Player Discovers Entire Spawn-Point For Miniature Scythers

Apr 06, 2017 06:14 AM EDT

A “Pokemon GO” player has recently found an entire spawn for Miniature Scythers. The Scyhter is a bipedal, insectoid creature which is usually green in color and with cream accents between its three body segments. It is a Mantis Pokemon with Swarm or Technician abilities and Steadfast Hidden ability.

Just A Bug?

Otakukart reports that the gamer shared about the discovery in New York of the mini nest of Miniature Scythers on The Silph Road thread on Reddit. The discovery gives hope to other “Pokemon GO” players that they too would find the Mantis Pokemon. However, the website did not discount the possibility that it is just a glitch and Niantic Labs would soon fix the bug.

A similar incident had happened in the past to the giant Pokemon. Niantic Labs, the developer of “Pokemon GO,” appears to be unaware of the bug, so it could take some time before the Miniature Scyhters would stop showing up.

From Scythers To Electabuzz/Jynx

According to Comicbook, the Scyther Pokemon spawns on “Pokemon GO” nests where it evolves into a more powerful form of monster. The Scyther spawns into an Electabuzz/Jynx. A migration of nests could result in the sudden appearance of some monsters, such as the Miniature Scythers. Observers see a pattern of nest migrations occurring every three weeks, although Niantic Labs could just be mixing up things for trainers.

On one hand, the Electabuzz in “Pokemon GO,” a spawn from the Miniature Scyther, is a slightly humanoid creature with some feline traits. An Electric Pokemon, it has a Static ability and a Vital Spirit Hidden ability. On the other hand, the Jynx is a Human Shape Pokemon with Oblivious or Forewarn Ability and Dry Skin Hidden Ability.
