'Total War: Warhammer' Will Be Having a Major Announcement; It’s Game Sequel

Mar 31, 2017 08:01 AM EDT

Players have been impatiently looking forward to the next installment of "Total War: Warhammer." Good news is that Creative Assembly recently revealed something about the game this week; a setup countdown counters over their official website.

According to Reddit, it seems like Creative Assembly is now reading for a major "Total War: Warhammer" revelation this week after the countdown clock expires. The clue is in the background image itself that looks similar to Lustria; a continent feature in the Warhammer lore. Lustria was also a home to one of the most awaited races in "Total War: Warhammer," the Lizardmen.

Creative Assemble is also working on an unannounced historical "Total War" title which was speculated by some game enthusiasts but fans expect that the studio will announce the "Total War: Warhammer 2." In previous "Total War: Warhammer," the game already received most of the races from the Warhammer Fantasy lore where players were so curious as to which race will be introduced in the next installment of the game; and it seems that Lizardmen will be in "Total War: Warhammer 2."

According to PC Invasion, Creative Assembly lead designer Rich Aldridge claimed that the studio is now looking for a small race in the Warhammer lore; races such as Kislev and Estalia, however, no official statement from the studio company that these races will be playable in the upcoming second installment of the game.

"For the upcoming Total War: Warhammer, more enhancements and more subtle races around the edges will be seen, they're something that we know have to exist in our world in some capacity," said lead designer Rich Aldridge.

"Total War: Warhammer" sequel will be revealed sooner than expected if it turns out to be "Total War: Warhammer 2," fans will expect for the release date announcement from Creative Assembly. Rich Aldridge and his team are now working in two separate teams; one team for the current game and another for its sequel installment.
