Latest updates have revealed that Ubisoft has announced that it is currently working on an Assassin's Creed TV series. According to reports, the developer revealed that it is currently making plans to create an Assassin's Creed television series.

Earlier this week, Assassin's Creed head of content, Aymar Azaizia confirmed the update during a Reddit AMA, but it is reported that he refused to disclose any more details with regards to the upcoming TV show. However, he assured fans that the developer will take its time to make sure they deliver what fan would be proud of.

There was no formal announcement with regards to the Assassin's Creed TV show before now, but as fans can recall, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot noted last year that the company was already in talks with Netflix for a TV show. This gave fans an insight on what the developer was up to, even though Yves Guillemot did explicitly state which among Ubisoft's franchises would be the focus of the television series.

However, fans were suspicious that it is like Assassin's Creed, as it is one of the developer's biggest and the most popular franchise. According to Gamespot, the upcoming Assassin's Creed TV series would possibly be produced by Ubisoft's film and TV division - Ubisoft Motion Pictures, the unit that produced the Rabbids Invasion television series for Nickelodeon.

The report also stated that the developer is also reportedly working on a follow-up to Assassin's Creed, in addition to the upcoming Assassin's Creed television series. According to Screenrant, also during the Reddit AMA, Aymar Azaizia answered some questions about the possibility of the upcoming television series, the next installment of the game and the fate of the franchise.

He was asked about the rumored new Assassin's Creed game, "Assassin's Creed: Empire," and was asked if he could say "Empire" just once, he responded saying "LOL." And when Aymar Azaizia was asked if the photos circulating around are indeed from the from the next Assassin's Creed game, he said, "Not AC :)." According to the rumors, the new "Assassin's Creed: Empire" is reportedly set in Egypt and is expected to launch in 2017.
