Microsoft Surface Studio: First Ever Desktop PC That Is a Great Contender for Apple

Mar 22, 2017 03:35 AM EDT

Microsoft has finally produced a PC that can contend with Apple's iMac. The Microsoft new Surface Studio has already several site reviews and has summed up calling this a pen, touch, and Dial all in one display. It looks like Team Bill Gates are now trying to surprisingly shake things up with Apple through this creation. Let us find out why it is said to be one of the greatest contenders for Apple.

According to reports by the Verge, the heart of the Studio is in its display and features. It has a stunning 28-inch PixelSense display, 4500 x 3000 resolution and that the gorgeous display can also double as a giant tablet. The report said that the latest desktop PC is trying to catch up with the iMac's oldest stronghold: its creatives.

The whole display is amazingly thin and at just 13mm. It can support touch as well as the Surface Pens found on the tablet. Furthermore, Microsoft uses the so-called "zero-gravity hinge" to prop up the display and enable a single finger to push the top of it so it could move the display into different angles.

"I can safely say as a professional digital artist looking to upgrade my main device, the Surface Studio is certainly the strongest contender so far," said Lawrence Mann, a freelance illustrator, in his interview with The Verge.

A detailed review from Business Insider states that it is really enticing to weigh against the Surface Studio to Apple's iMac all-in-one PCs. Accordingly, both PCs share a certain design sensibility.

Further reports described the Studio to be a huge, beautiful 28-inch touchscreen display which comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Being the first-ever desktop computer from Microsoft, it is said to be a piece of premium hardware which costs starts at US$2,999.
