New 'Pokemon Game' Possible For Nintendo Switch: Game Freak Hiring Developers For New Console Game

Mar 22, 2017 12:14 PM EDT

Game Freak, the developer of the widely known "Pokemon" game series released several job listings looking for temporary staff members who will be working on its current project. The said game plan is described as a "globally popular RPG" that will be using a console platform.

In a translated report by Siliconera, developer Game Freak is calling the attention of the 3D CG designers who are knowledgeable in using animation and modeling software Maya. The work requires a creation of characters, monsters and items. The modeler is also expected to know about debugging, data work, and more.

In the original proposal, the said RPG game console will be entitled to a familiar title that every gamer would easily recognize. But speculation stated that it is the new "Pokemon Sun and Moon" that will make way to Switch. However, Game Freak didn't yet reveal the title of the game. But it was labeled as "an RPG game that is popular on a global scale" that "everybody would know."

The second listing released by Pokemon game developer Game Freak is looking for modelers having a great experience creating a character model for Wii U and PS Vit. Both of the said job listings will be executed in contract fashion, which could last until May 2018.

As Game Freak is in the process of developing the new console project, last 2016, the Pokemon Company CEO, Tsunekazu Ishihara confirmed that there will be a game plan for Nintendo's next console. Also, a report from late last year revealed that "Pokemon Star" will launch for Switch in 2017.

As Game Freak has been doing its job for Pokemon games, we'll be doing our best to keep you updated as this game console develops. Feel free to comment what you want to know about this game console!
