Less than a month away from the premier of popular Japanese anime “Attack on Titan” Season 2, some of the returning characters were revealed in a magazine. The TV series would be back on air on April 1, but producers of the show assure the premiere date announcement is not an April Fools’ Day joke. More details about the anime are in a two-page spread of a magazine which includes stills.

Season 2 Characters

Comicbook identifies the images of “Attack on Titan” Season 2 characters whose stills are on the two-page spread of Revo. They include Rainer and Bertolt, members of Survey Corps which would discover Titans inside the walls, and Annie, their close friend who betrayed the group in Season 1. The two men are seen with stern faces, but their look is directed at something or somebody out of the frame.

The second image belongs to Krista who looks innocent while on top of a horse and her hair flowing loosely around her shoulders. Observers notice she looks older in “Attack on Titan” Season 2 than in Season 1. Could it be because she is shown under the sun or Krista’s role will be bigger in Season 2? The entertainment website confirms of an expanded role for Krista in the upcoming season.

Big Highlight In Season 2

Krista and Ymir would be the focus of “Attack on Titan” Season 2, although expected to be seen also are familiar characters such as Eren Yeager and Mikasa Ackerman, according to Tetsuro Araki, director of the anime, Geek.com reports. He told Aniplus Asia, distributor of the anime in Southeast Asia, some of the characters – such as Krista and Ymir - did not get the spotlight in Season 1 but would be a big highlight in Season 2. Aniplus Asia shared an English-subtitled interview with the anime director, Crunchy Roll reports.
