MacOS 10.13 Latest News & Update: First Traces Of Next Major Mac Operating System Uncovered by Blogger

Apple has yet to provide a glimpse of the next macOS 10.13, something likely to come out by WWDC 2017 in June. Beta versions of the next major operating system are expected to come out soon and a recent spotting could very well hint at its potential revelation.

A portion of the blog shared pointing to the App store (CatalogURL) for the macOS 10.13 was singled out, something that was eventually traced to the Apple servers, Mac Rumors reported. The full URL reads https://swscan.apple.com/content/catalogs/others/index-10.13seed.merged-1.sucatalog.gz.

Outside the anticipation that macOS 10.13 is expected to be among the highlights of WWDC 2017, nothing else has cropped up so far. The same holds true on what fixes and improvements the OS will have to offer. Improvements to Siri, Apple Pay, and cross-device integrations could be among the improvements. The same holds true on what moniker it will carry. Past names include trademarked names taken after beaches and cities such as Diablo, Pacific, Shasta, and Sonoma.

With those macOS 10.13 questions up in the air, the best to watch out for right now is the beta release. A June release of the macOS 10.13 beta looms though it could come out as early as the summer. Viewed in another way, it also hints that Mac users may not yet be getting a huge bump to macOS 11. This remains to be seen with still several months before WWDC 2017, 9 to 5 Mac reported. Curiously, a surprise release of mac OS 10.13 could come out and then see a macOS 11 in June.

While the fate of macOS 10.13 and macOS 11 are sketchy, Apple is now busy working on macOS 10.12.4. Among the features of that operating system is Night Shift, something that will likely carry on to future Mac operating systems.
