‘Gears of War 4: Rise Of The Horde' Update Gives New Difficulty Levels, Skills & Multiplayer Maps

Recently, "Gears of War 4" is having a pretty hefty update, one of the biggest ever update of the game. The free "Gears of War 4: Rise of the Horde" update offers a bunch of new content to Horde mode which includes Loot drops, 15 new skills, and new difficulty levels in addition to some new multiplayer map and new achievements today.

"Gears of War 4: Rise of the Horde"  new skills brings new abilities such as Scout's Cloak that turns player's invisible, the Sniper's Magic Bullet that increases the player's damage with every headshot, and the Engineer's Salvage which gives ammo to teammates when their Fortification kill baddies. In addition to this, a random Horde skill will drop after defeating the Boss Wave at Wave 30, 40, and 50. Higher difficulties will provide a better chance of getting a better rare skill.

According to Kotaku, "Gears of War 4: Rise of the Horde"  new update adds two new difficulty levels; the Inconceivable and the Ironman for both campaign and Horde Mode. The inconceivable level is just harder difficulty than Insane while Ironman level acts as a permadeath mode in the Campaign, in which a player will die, they have to restart the entire thing. However, in Horde mode there are no COG tags will drop when a player fall in battle and fail to complete a wave, they have to restart over again.

As noted by Sixth Axis, there are also two new classic multiplayer maps; the Avalanche from "Gears of War 2" and the Rustlung from "Gears of War 3". Season pass owners will be able to play them today in the Developer Playlist that will grant them chances to earn Double XP and 20 percent bonus credits.

"Gears of War 4: Rise of the Horde" update will arrive couple days before the free trial begins on June 9. This free trial offers 10 hours of playtime which ends on June 15. For the bright side, if players will purchase "Gears of War 4," they can keep all progress that they have made in the trial.
