The year 2017 is going to be a great year for the smartphones and technology fans. We have already seen the release of flagship smartphones like Xiaomi Mi 6, Samsung Galaxy S8, and LG G6 in past few weeks. Though it seems like just a beginning, the next few months have lineup-ed some exciting new launches from technology giants like HTC, Nokia, and OnePlus.
Firstly the OnePlus 5 is expected to get a release in the second half of this year. Moreover, the price of the upcoming smartphone is likely to be under $500. The device will be made available in Gold, Grey and Black color options.
The OnePlus 5 is also supposed to sport a design similar to the OnePlus 3T smartphone. However, the OnePlus 5 is said to ditch the antenna lines at the rear panel.
As reported earlier, OnePlus 5 is also said to have a dual rear camera setup. It is expected to have a QHD display, 8GB RAM, Snapdragon 835 chipset, Adreno 540 GPU, internal storage option of up to 256GB, plus 3000mAh battery.
Another flagship which is said to debut this year is, HTC U11. HTC is rumored to launch the successor to the HTC 10 on May 16. Dubbed the HTC U11, the device is very important for the company's fortunes after the lukewarm reception received by the HTC U Ultra.
HTC U11is said to feature 'Edge Sense'. With this new feature, the users will be able to open a browser, camera app or other select functions via a touch sensitive outer frame, as reported by India Today. For the specs, the HTC U11is expected to boast a Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. HTC U11 will come with a 5.5-inch QHD display, a 12MP camera, 3.5mm audio jack, and has a 3000mAh battery.
Tech giant Nokia has already launched its first android smartphone and now the smartphone maker is all set to launch other flagships this year, which are Nokia 6, 5 and 3. According to MobiKart, the phones are expected to release sometime in May in the market. Coming to the availability, the Nokia 3 is expected to hit the store shelves in the start of May, while the Nokia 5 will be available in mid-May and the Nokia 6 will be made available at the end of the month.
Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. On the camera front, there will be a 16MP primary rear camera with PDAF and an 8MP front selfie snapper.
Nokia 5 will feature a 5.2-inch HD display powered by a Snapdragon 430 paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. On the camera side, there is a 13MP primary rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera.
Lastly, Nokia 3 will have a 5-inch HD display powered by a MediaTek MTK6737 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. For shooting, there are 8MP cameras at front and rear.
