Apr 28, 2017 04:07 AM EDT

To show its supremacy in the PC tech world, Acer recently held a product launch at the world's highest iMax screen in New York City. The tech giant made a clear statement about the upcoming Acer Predator Triton 700 gaming laptop. As per the company, this would be a super thin laptop bundled with the best of features.

Right at the first glance, the Acer Predator Triton 700 appears to be a super thin laptop. However, surprises unfold once the user opens the gaming laptop. The touchpad and the keyboard have interchanged places. The touchpad is above, while the keyboard is placed at the bottom. It comes with a 15.6 inch display screen, 32GB of DDR4 DRAM as well as 512GB of storage. The laptop also includes Thunderbolt 3 port, two USB 3.0 slots, one HDMI port, and a DisplayPort connector.

In fact, the oversized touchpad is transparent. It gives a peek into the cooling components on this gaming laptop. This includes the AeroBlade cooling fan and more, PC Advisor reported. Interestingly, the design of the Acer Predator Triton 700 laptop has been inspired by the transparent gaming PCs. As per Eric Ackerson, senior product and marketing manager, Acer, this concept is something every gamer would love and appreciate.

Even though Acer could have made more parts of the gaming laptop transparent, the US Federal Communications Commission regulations allowed only certain parts of the touchpad and keyboard to be made transparent, added Ackerson. As per PC World, the transparent touchpad of Acer Predator Triton 700 is made of Gorilla Glass. Users might need a few minutes to get used to the trackpad over the keyboard. However, the trackpad includes multitouch features of Windows 10. The users can customize the features for their gaming needs.

Reversing places of the touchpad and keyboard is one of the most interesting concepts of the Acer Predator Triton 700 gaming laptop. Even though this is a brand new concept, this innovation has been targeted towards the gamers, Ackerson mentioned. The laptop is itself lightweight and can be held in one hand.
