New updates state that the 2017 Nokia 3310 will be available for purchase next week in Europe. However, it is unfortunate that the reports note that the new device will cost more than Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The new Nokia 3310 is produced by the Finnish technology company, HMD Global that is currently in charge of the reproduction of Nokia mobile products.

The device was first announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) on 26 February 2017 in Barcelona, Spain. According to HMD Global that the new Nokia 3310 is a revival of the original Nokia 3310 that was produced in 2000. New updates have now revealed that the developer plans on making the new device available for purchase in the coming weeks, but European retailers have already listed the device to be sold beyond its MSRP.

It is reported by GSMarena that when the Nokia 3310 was announced at MWC, HMD global stated that the device will be priced at €49, prices the device seems to be priced around €59 in Norway, Austria, and the Czech Republic. Many fans already believe that the new device, which sports a 2.4-inch, 320x240 pixel and only limited to 2G network connectivity is too exorbitant for €49.

The Nokia 3310 has faced lots of criticisms since it was unveiled but some consumers believe that it will be an amazing device even though it will not launch in every region. The device has some similarities with the original Nokia 3310 but it appears that the Snake game in the original device has been replaced by Gameloft's "Snake Xenzia" with updated modes and graphics.

The device features basic functions including FM radio, limited web browser, and a voice recorder.
The new Nokia 3310 also features a 2-MP shooter for photos and video recording, Bluetooth 3.0, and a dual SIM option available in certain models. Unfortunately, the device does not support other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC. the Nokia 3310 will be available in new red and yellow color variants and of course, dark blue and gray color options just like the original Nokia 3310.

In terms of availability, it is reported by Metroble that a German retailer has already stated that the new Nokia 3310 will ship on April 28. The report also stated that, while many retailers have listed the device for €59, others have fixed the price at €53.

Another interesting update has noted that a Swedish retailer has listed an upgraded 3G version of the new Nokia 3310 on its website. The device will have a price tag of €93 but will not be available until next month. However, the developer recently commented that the 3G listing of the new Nokia 3310 is a mistake. it added that the device will only be available as a 2G phone.
