It is reported that Verizon stated that the new Android 7.0 Nougat update features the latest security patches, but, it is not clear if Verizon was referring to the April security patch or that of March just like the one on Sprint's and AT&T's Note 5 and S6 edge+.

According to reports, Verizon also added that the new update does not only include bug fixes and security updates, but the 7.0 version of Android update now boosts the speed of Verizon Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+.
