Sony recently launched the Xperia XZs and Xperia XA1 and two other smartphones in February during this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC). Latest updates have now revealed that the Xperia XZs and Xperia XA1 smartphones are now available in the United States. According to the reports, the company high-end Sony Xperia XZ and mid-range Xperia XA1 are available from Amazon.
The Xperia XZs features 5.2-inch display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor, and cost $699 from the online retailer. The Xperia XA1 on other hand sports a 5-inch display, 3GB of RAM, powered by a MediaTek Helio p20 processor and is priced at $360. According to Liliputing, both the Xperia XZs and Xperia XA1 are sold with the retailer as factory unlocked and they should work on GSM networks such as T-Mobile and AT&T.
The report also states that the Xperia XZs features a full HD display, USB 4.1 Type-C port, IP68 rated water and dust resistance, a 19-MP shooter that records video at up to 960 frames per second, stereo front-facing speakers, Quick Charge 3.0 support, NFC, and microSD card reader.
Meanwhile, the Xperia XA1 sports a 720p display, a 23-MP Sony Exmor RS 23 rear shooter and an 8-MP front camera, powered by an octa-core processor, a microSD card slot, a USB 2.0 Type-C port, NFC, and support for fast charging. Both the Xperia XZs and Xperia XA1 come with Android 7.0 Nougat.
According to GSMArena, both the Xperia XZs and Xperia XA1 are also available for pre-order in Malaysia, as DirectD has listed the devices on its website for RM 2,899 ($655) and RM 1,199 ($270), respectively. The report also states that the Xperia XZs is available in black, warm silver, ice blue color variants. There are also freebies worth RM 697($157) for anybody who pre-orders the Xperia XZs. The freebies include SBH stereo Bluetooth headset, a transparent silicon case with tempered glass and Sony quick charger.
The XA1 will be available in black, white, pink, and gold color options and there will also freebies worth RM 268 ($60) for those who pre-order the smartphone which will include a charging dock, and a transparent silicon case with tempered glass.
Unfortunately, Pre-order closes April 9 and there is no yet any information with regards to when the devices will be shipped. But the developer has stated that the Xperia XA1 will be launched on April 26 and a $300 price tag has been fixed for the smartphone. The device is also scheduled to launch on April 10 in Europe launch.
