Apart from iPhone 8, the upcoming Nokia and OnePlus also have magical smartphones in their boxes. OnePlus 5 and Nokia 9 are occupying lots of tech headlines right now. Lots of leaks, rumors and concepts of these smartphones are surfacing on the internet almost every other day giving us an idea of the features that we might see in them.
Both Nokia and OnePlus are expected to bring premium smartphones with killer specifications and tremendous features, that too without increasing the pricing to a great extent. Going by the existing rumors, we can expect the Nokia 9 and OnePlus 5 to get a release sometime this quarter.
Nokia 9 has lately surfaced in rumors revealing its potential specs and features. Even the OnePlus 5 leaked concept and renders has imagined with the Never Settle wallpaper that shows some of the possible specs. Since nothing about these smartphones is officially confirmed, thanks to leaks that will help us in the further comparison.
The Nokia 9, as per Forbes, might arrive with a 5.5-inch QHD 1440p OLED display. On the other hand, the OnePlus 5 is said to boast of a 5.5-inch dual-curved edge QHD 1440p AMOLED display, which will be quite similar to the one on the Samsung flagship models. The OLED display is rumored to be on the Nokia 9 definitely has its own benefits and it will also increase the premium feel of the smartphone.
Being flagship smartphones, the Nokia 9 and OnePlus 5 are said to make use of the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor under their hood. Also, the upcoming smartphones are rumored to make use of 6GB of RAM for superior multitasking capabilities, according to NDTV.
The speculations also point out at the possibility of seeing two variants of Nokia 9 and OnePlus 5 with 64GB or 128GB of storage capacities. Besides the hardware aspects, both the flagships are believed to be powered by latest Android Nougat out-of-the-box, as per Gizbot.
The IP68 rating these days has become an obligatory feature for smartphones, especially for the flagship smartphones. Going by this, we can expect the Nokia 9 and OnePlus 5 to also have the IP68 rating for dust and water resistance feature.
According to India Today, OnePlus 5 is likely to sport a 23MP main snapper at its rear and a 12MP selfie camera with wide-angle lens. Alternatively, the Nokia 9 claims that it will use a 22MP dual-lens camera setup and Carl Zeiss optics at the rear side. On the front side, Nokia flagship is rumored to feature a 12MP selfie shooter as well.
Currently, we don't know what will be the official and exact specs and features of these smartphones. Also, we can't come to a conclusion without knowing the real price details of the Nokia 9 and OnePlus 5. We have to wait for the official launch to make a strong comparison of these two flagships from Nokia and OnePlus.
