A recent leak about the highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi6 smartphone surfaced online which reveals another impressive feature for the device. As per the leak, the upcoming flagship smartphone will sport 5X Optical Zoom.

For several months, Xiaomi Mi6 has been one of the favorite topics among varying speculations. Apart from that, there were also several rumors and claims about its renders being leaked. The latest among the leaks suggests about the smartphones' camera specification.

A camera sample which is thought to be presumably taken with Xiaomi's upcoming Mi6 flagship has just appeared online. The leaked photograph was shared on the Chinese social media site, Baidu with the tag "Shot on Mi 6 - 5X Optical Zoom".

The Xiaomi Mi6 is expected to boast a main dual-camera setup, with the main sensor being of 19MP Sony IMX400 variety. And recently, a few images came revealing a line of recently announced Xiaomi Mi6 cases also showed up, confirming the smartphone will indeed get the dual camera treatment, according to Android Headlines.

However, it's not possible to tell for sure whether the image was actually taken with a Xiaomi Mi6 or not, but the watermark imprinted on the photograph does indicate this is the case. The picture which was shot in a low-light environment appears to be quite clear and detailed.

The camera sample which has allegedly been snapped by a Mi6 provides details at the bottom left side of the image, showing that it sports 5 X Optical Zoom technologies. Similarly, the iPhone 7 Plus also has a second telephoto lens which features 2X Optical Zoom. If the information provided by MyDrivers is true, then the Xiaomi Mi6 could allow you to snap images while zoomed in without degrading quality one bit.

It looks like Xiaomi is assertive on extending its efforts to unbind the camera technology on their smartphone. Xiaomi Mi6 will be much awaited by the fans for this new feature. It is also likely to have a support for four-axis anti-shake technology, along with a dual camera set up featuring OIS which will be very helpful in mitigating camera shake.
