Till now, the tech experts feel that Samsung Galaxy S8 is the best Android smartphone of 2017. Since Samsung leads the way to smartphones, users have assumed the Galaxy S series has been regarded as the best. With bold designs and premium features the Galaxy S8 device is a dream of every smartphone user. However, Samsung isn't alone in the competition, Sony is also in the run to be the best. Sony Xperia XZ Premium is also among the leading Android devices.
Both Samsung Galaxy S8 and Sony Xperia XZ Premium come with 64 GB of storage options. However, both these devices come with the option of storage expansion through microSD card slot that goes up to 256GB. Coming to RAM, both the devices offer 4GB RAM. Sadly, 6GB RAM is available only in China based devices.
As per Phone Arena, Sony Xperia XZ Premium is wider than Samsung Galaxy S8 that makes the latter a winner when it comes to looks. The former comes with a 19 megapixel camera, while Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a 12 megapixel camera. Sony XPERIA XZ Premium also has a better front camera of 13 megapixel, while SMSUNG Galaxy S8 have 8 megapixel of front camera.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium includes the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with the Octa core processor. This is the same processor found in Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. But again, it depends on the country the buyer is buying the device from. In certain places, buyers would also get Samsung Exynos 8995 Octa-core CPU Know Your Mobile reported.
Sony Xperia XZ Premium has a bigger battery, 3230 mAh, while Samsung Galaxy S8 has a battery of 3000 mAh. The former also comes with a premium glass loop surface that creates a mirror like effect. The latter comes with a bezel free design and display that goes around the edges. Samsung Gakaxy s8 is also slightly thicker than Sony Xperia XZ Premium.
