Sony Xperia XA1 Now Available For Purchase In Hong Kong; Xperia XZs Launched In India

Latest updates reveal that not long after the launch of Sony Xperia XZs in India, the Xperia XA1 is now available for purchase in Hong Kong. According to reports, the new device was recently unveiled during the Mobile World Congress (MWC), along with mid-range smartphones from the developer including the XA1 Ultra, Xperia XZs, Xperia XZ Premium.

It is being reported that the Xperia XA1 smartphone cost HK$2,498, which is about $321 USD. The device will also come in several color variants, which of course does not exclude White, Black, Gold, and Pink. The new smartphone also sports a 5-inch display, 720x1280 pixel resolution, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

According to Android Headlines, the Xperia XA1 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 Octa Core 64bit - Quad core 2.3GHz + Quad core 1.6GHz - processor. It has 3GB of RAM with 32GB of an expandable memory of up to 256GB through micro SD card slot and a 23-MP rear camera parked with 1/2.3" Exmor RS, LED flash, 5x Clear Image Zoom, Hybrid Autofocus, and 8-MP selfie camera.

The smartphone also runs Android N mobile operating system and is equipped with a 2300mAh battery that has Quick Charging support. The Xperia XA1 is a Dual-SIM smartphone that has NFC, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi Miracast, A-GNSS, 4G and also measures 145 x 67 x 8 mm and weighs 143 grams.

Meanwhile, Sony Xperia XZs, which is the smaller version of the tech company's Xperia XZ smartphone features a 5.2-inch full-HD Triluminos display, 1080x1920 pixels resolution and run on the Android 7.0 Nougat. According to Gadgets, although the smartphone has a single-SIM slot, the developer is expected to release a dual-SIM variant in India.

The Xperia XZs is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled which with Adreno 510 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB and 64GB variants of inbuilt expandable storage of up to 256GB through a microSD slot.

The device also features a mammoth 13-MP selfie camera with a 22mm wide-angle lens, and a f/2.0 aperture. It has a 19MP Motion Eye camera with a 1/ 2.3-inch Exmor RS memory sensor with predictive hybrid autofocus, which aids in capturing 960fps slow motion videos. The Xperia XZs is also packed with a 2900mAh battery, USB Type-C port, GPS + GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, it measures 146x72x8.1 mm and weighs in at 161 grams.

The sensors of the device include a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and accelerometer. According to reports, the Xperia XZs was released in three color variants: Black, Blue, and Warm Silver. Even though Sony recently launched the smartphone in India on Monday, the developer is yet to provide details on whether it plans to launch the Xperia XA1 in the country.
