In an article published in TrustedReview, it is suggested that the Samsung Galaxy X foldable handset will also be launched before the Galaxy Note 8. Leaker @mmddj_china said that the successor of the notorious Note 7 will arrive in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Reports are suggesting that the Samsung Galaxy X will be a smartphone could be folded fully. This is attributed to the company's proprietary hinge support. The smartphone is also expected to have a dynamic fulcrum hinge in the middle like the Microsoft Surface Book series.

The Samsung Galaxy X is also expected to have three kinds of biometric sensors. This could have the ability to recognize the iris pattern of the user's eyes, palm print, and fingerprint.
