Apr 02, 2017 06:50 PM EDT

Moto G5 Plus has made its way to the US Markets with recent reports indicating that all major American retailers and carrier services have stocked up the new smartphone.  The mid-range budget device is now available on major e-tailers like Amazon, B&H, BestBuy, Newegg and all other places. The 5.2-inch smartphone comes at a price of US$ 299.

Details from Android Authority reports that the G5 Plus is available both with a contract and free of it, with the cheapest variant available at the price of US $229.99 and reportedly carries 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, users looking for a better memory and storage capacity will have to shell out extra dollars for the 4GB variant that also comes with 64GB of storage.

The Moto G5 Plus is undoubtedly one of the best budget smartphones one can buy at the moment. Of course, this might change in the coming days but that said, it was also one of the most anticipated smartphones for this year especially considering its price. Amazon Prime users can buy the smartphones at an even lesser price provided they don't mind watching an ad every time the screen wakes up, according to BGR.

Taking a look at its specifications, the Moto G5 Plus is equipped with a Snapdragon 625 processor with a battery capacity of 3000mAh. A 12MP rear camera, capable of taking images with the highest aperture of f/1.7, also has a front-facing selfie 5MP camera. Users will be able to but the new smartphone in two color choices, with either the Lunar Gray or Fine gold choices.

Overall, both the G5 and the G5 Plus seem to be promising devices since they also are offered with very little bloatware and arguably quicker updates, although this seems questionable ever since Lenovo acquired Motorola from Google.
