Just over the year, Android 7.0 Nougat of Google gave a successful fix and improvements for all android devices. Again, the company released another OS that will surely help every android user. Here are some of the features of Android O that everyone can expect when Google finally unveil it to the public:
Improved Battery Life and Background Limits
Several apps require a lot of battery energy to work. Limitation of location updates, background services, and implicit broadcasts are one of the solutions that Android O has. It is to prevent them from lowering the battery energy but can still function well. However, the developer must able to ensure that this automatic limiting will not give any crash issue in regards to the apps.
It will have the new notification channels that allow the notifications to group in different categories or type. Controlling is such a power that Android O can give to users. With the help of this feature, Users can manage to set apart the important notifications and less-important stuff. Filtering the message notifications from specific message apps is one of the examples.
This feature allows the user to operate other apps while a video footage from a small window is still playing. Android O's new mode is actually a handy one especially for those users who loves to watch videos on YouTube or in other video apps. They can still read messages; browse the internet while watching the video.
This Android O feature prevents stealing the user's identity information from several malicious apps. In addition, WebView update will let the developers handle the errors and crashes with API.
Other features of Android O include adaptive icons (offers multiple shape options), better keyboard navigation, multi-display support, autofill support, improved sound quality and new Java 8 APIs. With these new and improved features, Google's new OS will surely improve all android devices and will make the user's life easier.
Using the official Android emulator, developers will be able to try the Android O and test its features. Aside from the Android emulator, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel C, Pixel and Pixel XL can be used to test the new android OS. However, if you wish to try it, manually download and flash your device are necessary. In addition, Google will give more details when Android O finally unveils at Google I/O in May 2017.
