Fans have been waiting for the launch of the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 which was scheduled first to be launched on April 16, 2017, but things have been rescheduled this coming last week of March; Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 release date was moved to March enable compete against Lenovo's ZUK Z2.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 has recently shared leaks since the beginning of 2017 about the upcoming device. The device will be having its debut later this month, yet the exact date has been blurry. Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 was recently reported to be powered by Helio P25 processor instead of s Snapdragon 660 SoC which was predicted earlier.
As noted by GSM Arena, Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will be launched this year's March and will carry the same dual-camera configuration like its predecessors. The device will be equipped with a MediaTek Helio P25 processor, not with the SD660. Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will feature an octa-core CPU that consists of four Cortex-A53 cores sported up to 2.5GHz and another four 1.6GHz that comes with Mali-T880MP4 GPU which supports Cat.6 LTE.
As for Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 competitor, the Lenovo ZUK Z2 this device sports a 5-inch ISP screen standing in a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The Lenovo device was powered with a Snapdragon 820 CPU from its USA-based chip manufacturer Qualcomm which carries CPU cores from Kyro architecture. There are two variants of Lenovo ZUK Z2; a device that comes with 4GB RAM that was supported by 64GB internal memory while the other variant is built with a 6GB RAMS that was supported by 128GB internal memory.
The Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 features MIUI 8 based Android 6.0 Marshmallow while the Lenovo ZUK Z2 comes with ZUI 2.0 custom UI based that runs on an Android 6.0.1. According to Xiaomi Today, Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is going to be an updated version of the original Xiaomi Redmi Pro device. The device is also predicted to be made out of a metal housing with 2.5D arc glass, 6GB that is supported by 128GB ROM that carries a price tag of $231.
