For now, it looks like August has the upper hand of the fight because he appears to be stronger than Gildarts. Gildarts looks like he is struggling and his plans are not working at all.
Cana will rush in after seeing that her own father is being crushed in battle and will use Fairy Glitter against August. However, her attack will have no effect at all. August then threatens Gildarts and asks how he would react if his daughter would be killed. This makes the S-Class mage from "Fairy Tail" furious.
In Chapter 526 of "Fairy Tail," Gildarts will be fuming as he charges towards August. Cana, on the other hand, will help her father calm down. Gildarts will get worried and will tell his daughter to stay at a safe distance. She also tells August to stay away from his child. Seeing this kind of love between father and daughter will puzzle August and will make him wonder why he does not see the same bond between Larcade and Zeref.
