PlayStation Plus monthly free games for the month of March 2017 will be coming in various genre and different gaming port that players can download, from PS3 until PS4. The games that are available for download include "Tearway Unfolded," "Disc Jam," "Earth Defense Force 2025," "Severed", and "Lumo."
Players need to have an active PlayStation Plus subscription to download the game on the platform of their choice. For now, the free titles are currently available in Europe, but after the store is updated, the PlayStation Plus March 2017 free-of-cost games can also be downloaded in North America.
The PlayStation Plus March 2017 free games list is started by the Media Molecule's paper-thin platform, "Tearaway Unfolded" which was released on PlayStation 4. The plot follows one of two papercraft messengers, Iota or Atoi, on its journey to deliver an important message.
"Tearaway Unfolded" is originally released exclusively for PS Vita back in 2013, but the game developer later decided that it will make a remake of sorts on PS4. The gameplay of "Tearaway Unfolded" experiments with the PS Vita's rear touch pad and gyroscope features like no other title had. The PS4 version will give players the same treatment with its DualShock 4 controller. This game was critically acclaimed by the public and received numerous awards and nominations, making it sitting on the top of the list of PlayStation Plus March 2017 free titles.
Another PS4 game that will join the PlayStation Plus March 2017 free games is the Frisbee-flinging sports genre, "Disc Jam." According to GearNuke, this new popular multiplayer title offers co-op and online multiplayer, showing almost the same gameplay with "Windjammers."
The same report can be found in Express that the "Disc Jam" gameplay looks to be a combination of tennis and table hockey with simplistic controls. This title has the chance to be a competitive hit if it manages to hook audience's attention. It is remained to be seen if "Disc Jam" can be another home run hit like "Rocket League," but going free on PlayStation Plus March 2017 free games list is definitely a good start.
The most exciting addition to the PlayStation Plus March 2017 free games list is the criminally under-exposed, "Severed." The Drinkbox Studio's touch-based action-adventure was released in April of 2016 when PS Vita's time was near its end and buried. This could be the last chance for gamers to pick up "Severed."
Sony has also included a PS3 title, the extraordinary bug-squashing shooter, "Earth Defence Force 2025," into the PlayStation Plus March 2017 free games list. Besides that, players can also download an adventure game, Lumo which is available on both PS4 and Vita via cross-play, as reported by Finder.
