iPhone 8 Latest News & Update: Radical Changes, Massive Redesign Apple Flagship To Come At Hefty Price

Apple is expected to come out with a redesigned iPhone 8, something that others refer to as the iPhone X. Regardless, most are more interested in what the next flagship will have to offer. Among the anticipated features include an AMOLED screen, all-glass design, integrated Touch ID biometric features and wireless charging.

From the anticipated specs alone, it may not come as a surprise that the iPhone 8 or iPhone X will not come cheap. Reliable tipster and KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that the new features will push the suggested retail price to the sky, something that could go beyond the $1,000 price point, something backed by a report from FastCompany.

Take note that the iPhone 8 or iPhone X is not debuting alone. There are two other devices believed to be appearing by its side – the iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7s Plus. Unlike the iPhone X, these variants will continue to use the TFT-LCD technology. Both are expected to feature an improved camera and some hardware improvements though probably not as massive as the iPhone 8, BGR reported.

Speaking of displays, there is more than just the OLED-backed screen the iPhone 8/ iPhone X will be offering. It will reportedly measure 5.8-inches, making it the largest display for any iPhone to date. To make sure that users won’t get overwhelmed, Apple has reportedly shrunk the top and bottom bezels of the flagship, Forbes reported.

The recent leaks should be welcome news to Apple customers eager to get hold of the iPhone 8. But with word that the Cupertino company is not expected to start production until September, most may have to wait a bit to get their hands on the iPhone 8/ iPhone X. A reason for the delay is reportedly the supply of OLED parts with Apple searching for alternative suppliers in China.
