Apple has just released the fourth beta of an upcoming iOS 10.3 update to developers which just comes one week after seeding the third beta of iOS 10.3. It is also more than two months since the release of iOS 10.2, which was the last major update to iOS 10. Developers who are registered can download the fourth iOS 10.3 beta from the Apple Developer Center or over-the-air if with the proper configuration profile. iOS 10.3 is a major update as it will introduce several new features and changes to iOS 10.
It looks like Apple has finally come up with a solution for those who struggle with misplacing its ever tricky AirPods. In this fourth beta of iOS 10.3, there will be a new feature called "Find My AirPods" which is designed to, of course, help users locate their misplaced AirPods. This feature records the last known location of when an AirPod was connected through Bluetooth. It can also play a sound on a lost AirPod, reports Mac Rumors
9 to 5 Mac writes that iOS 10.3 beta 4 will also introduce Wi-Fi Calling for iCloud connected devices for Verizon customers and a new 32-bit alert that might be a clue that iOS 11 could be 64 bit only. A new way for developers to reply to app reviews will also be introduced. This includes iCloud Analytics for the first time and would also allow iOS users to label reviews in the App Store as helpful or not helpful.
This iOS 10.3 beta 4 will also introduce an Apple File System which will be installed when an iOS device gets updated to iOS 10.3 This new file system in optimized for flash or SSD storage and has improved features such as strong encryption. This is made to address file issues in previous versions.
Another change to be introduced in iOS 10.3 would be to limit the number of times developers can ask for a review. Customers would be allowed to leave app reviews without exiting an app. This new addition also provides a master switch that will let users turn off all app review prompts.
