Huawei is aware that smartphone market leaders Samsung and Apple are nowhere to be found for the Mobile World Congress 2017. Hence, it is the best time as any to pour it in and the Chinese company did just that with the Huawei P10 and P10 plus. After months of anticipation, all eyes are on the highly-touted cameras that the phones come armed with.
Before getting into the beauty of the cameras for the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus, it would be best to dissect the inside of the new flagships. It sports a 5.1-inch screen and comes armed with an Octa-core 2400 MHz, ARM Cortex-A73 and ARM-Cortex A-53 64-bit SoC where other specs vary. The most basic is a 4 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage which costs a reasonable $600. For those who want to take it up a notch, you can opt for the 64 GB internal storage version of the P10 for $683, Ubergizmo reported.
As far as the Huawei P10 Plus is concerned, the device comes with a bigger 5.5-inch dual-edged curved display with similar base specs as the P10. The price for the cheapest Huawei P10 Plus is $725 with the price going higher with higher RAM and storage space. Both the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus feature a 12 MP main camera (featuring Leica lens) and a front-facing 8 MP shooter. Its power storage lies at the hands of a 3200 mAh non-removable battery, CNN reported.
With the price and specs of the Huawei P10/ P10 Plus known, it would be best to know when and where it will be available. According to Mobile Syrup, Huawei will first make it available in the Canadian market. Apparently, Huawei is trying to penetrate the high-end market in Canada, making the latest flagships available at Rogers, Bell, Fido and Videotron. There is no word yet on when it will hit the U.S. market.
