NES Classic Mini Edition Updates: Production of The Console Continues; Last Shipment On April Was Just A False Alarm

Feb 16, 2017 09:26 PM EST

For a fact, there's been a scarcity of consoles ever since the NES Classic Mini was launched last fall. The Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima recently released that they are finding an immediate solution to rapid the production.

The $60 NES Classic Mini Edition remains rare to find in stores even online since it was launched three months ago. Even Walmart had been trying to find stocks in the system, unfortunately the bundle didn't stop from selling out.

Since then the NES Classic Mini Edition has remained out of stock and the company Nintendo has not yet released any official statement regarding the issue, if ever when will be the arrival of their new NES Classic Mini Edition. Nintendo's Nordic distributor Bergsala claimed that Nintendo has stopped their production, one of these distributors; Spillsjappa apologizes to everyone using their official Facebook page.

According to NeoGAF, also a giant retailer at the Nordic region the NES Classic Mini has reached its end of life and will be phased out. The company's production has ended and we will be receiving a few more shipments before everything dries up.

The NES Classic Mini retailer mentioned that it will be able to deliver each pre-order they have received and the last set of shipment will arrive in April or May, then no more shipments to follow. Fortunately, Game Reactor recently received an update from Bergsala that this might just be an issue for the Nordic Areas; we can't just say that the production has been stopped.

Recently today, a word from Nordic Nintendo distributor fresh from Finland were the details was essentially claimed that the last shipment of NES Classic Mini would go out in May might be wrong information.

Due to the rapid sold out of NES Classic Mini Edition in stores leads to miscommunication from the Nintendo Company up to its distributor, perhaps a false alarm has been spreading out. Don't be deceived, as mentioned earlier Nintendo will continue to produce NES Classic Mini Edition.
