The SonicWALL Mobile Connect unified client app for Google Android lets Android users benefit from network-level access to government, academic and corporate resources over an encrypted SSL VPN. SonicWALL by Dell is the only vendor that provides complete malware scanning solutions of SSL encrypted traffic and application control. The SonicWALL Mobile Connect app is available for Android users at Google Play.
Mobile Connect enables administrators to pre-configure web, remote desktop and VNC (Virtual Network Computing) bookmarks and web links that are automatically downloaded by users upon authentication. Mobile Connect also adds URL Control, allowing customized applications that require a VPN tunnel to automatically launch Mobile Connect, further enhancing ease of use.
Deployed with a Dell SonicWALL Next-Generation Firewall solution (featuring Gateway Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware and Intrusion Prevention Service), Mobile Connect establishes a Clean VPN™ that decrypts and removes threats from Android device traffic tunneled over SSL VPN before they enter the network.
In combination with a Dell SonicWALL Next-Generation Firewall, Dell SonicWALL Application Intelligence and Control allows organizations to define and enforce how applications and bandwidth assets are used.
Dell SonicWALL Aventail™ E-Class Secure Remote Access (SRA) solutions feature End Point Control™ (EPC) which allows administrators to define policies that identify specific attributes about the device and ensure the policies are enforced before allowing access to your corporate network. As part of EPC enforcement via Mobile Connect, a policy can be set up to determine if an Android device has been rooted, so that connections from those systems may be rejected or quarantined.
Android smartphones and tablets are constantly connected to internal wireless LAN to access resources. Its corporate network and traffic are scanned by a Dell SonicWALL Next-Generation Firewall. The solution results in creating a Clean Wireless solution connection. According to Dell, Android devices adhere to organizational security, app control and content filtering policies.
