The Galaxy 11 (Part 4)

Dec 31, 2013 03:29 PM EST

Three more players have been added to the ranks of earth's finest football players by Samsung since the last update: Cristiano Ronaldo, Alexander Kerzhakov, and Landon Donovan.

Ronaldo: Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro is a Forward from Portugal who is versatile enough to play striker or winger when called upon. He was born in 1985, so he has some experience and is perfectly capable of being a strong leader on the team. Ronaldo started off his career at the presigious Manchester United and has since moved to Real Madrid where he is changing the game with his shooting skill and accuracy, his magnificent handling skills, and his proficiency in on-on-one situations. It's been said that he and Messi are the two best in the league with two different styles, so be looking for them to complement each other this year.

Kerzhakov: Aleksandr Anatolyevich Kerzhakov is a striker for Zenit St. Petersburg and is the most prolific goalscorer in Russian football history. As a player his modus operandi is to spread out the defense, create holes, then connect to a teammate or get open for the finish. Kerzhakov comes from a family of footballers, since his brother plays professionally as well. Although he is a strong on-field presence, his all-around leadership abilities led his team to a league title last year. Be on the lookout for this man to spread that alien scum thin on the field.

Donovan: Landon Timothy Donovan is a forward and attacking midfielder for the L.A. Galaxy and was born in California long enough ago to be a veteran for the team. He is the all-time leader in scoring and assists on the U.S. men's national team, the recipient of U.S. soccer player of the year award for four years, and the highest scoring American in World Cup history. In other words, he is the best soccer player to have ever come out of the United States. For those that don't keep up with U.S. soccer, we've never been the best. In fact, we've usually played poorly. So, if Donovan gets a chance to play with the greats like Falcao, Ronaldo, and Messi, we just may be shocked to see what he can do.

So, ten down, one to go in this shuffle for intergalactic dominance. As the date for the game draws near, one question has been on everyone's mind: will there be a defense? I too have been wondering that, and it's not looking good. I doubt one person can carry the entire team on defense. "Will we be okay without a defense?" You might ask. No, we will not be. Without defense, earth is ruined, so hope that Franz Beckenbaur knows what he is doing. Until next time, be keeping up with www.theGalaxy11.com.
