Nokia 9 smartphone could be the next high-end device to take up the rival smartphones in the tech market. The device, which recently received the EA Union certification, has now been spotted on the Geekbench database and BSIG Bluetooth certification unit. The smartphone grabbing these many certifications hint that it could be in the final stages before the official launch.
According to The Indian Express, the HMD Global company could be nearing the launch of its most awaited flagship Nokia 9. The smartphone is spotted carrying a model number TA-1012 on Geekbench. The listing reveals that the device will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and paired with 4GB of RAM. The device is seen running on the latest version-Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
It is reported that the Nokia 9 smartphone was leaked earlier in a promotional video and live images along with the alleged listing on Geekbench and AnTutu benchmark sites carrying a model number TA-1004.
According to NPU, the Nokia 9 has received the BSIG Bluetooth certification and the device is seen carrying the model number same as that of AnTutu benchmark site. i.e. TA-1004. The certification reveals that the device will come with Bluetooth 4.2 support.
It is reported that the Nokia 9 variant spotted earlier was carrying 6GB RAM and even an 8GB RAM variant on Geekbench database. The Nokia device appearing on EA Union certification carried model numbers TA-1004 and TA-1012. It is reported that these model numbers could be the single-SIM and dual-SIM variants respectively.
Other Nokia smartphones that received the Russian certifications are TA-1013 / TA-1040, TA-1007 / TA-1029 & TA-1005. It is reported that the TA-1005 might be another variant of TA-1004 (Nokia 9).
Nokia 9 is expected to arrive with a 5.27-inch WQHD display having a resolution of 1,440 pixels by 2,560 pixels. Under the hood, it is speculated to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The device is expected to have IP68 dust and water resistant certifications, dual 13MP rear cameras and a 13MP front camera. Stay tuned for more updates.
