Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro Running On Android 7.0 Nougat Spotted, Soon To Hit The Devices

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro smartphone is expected to get the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system update soon. The device has been spotted on the benchmarks namely- GFXBench and Geekbench. The device, which was launched in May last year, carried Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS with Samsung's edition on top.

According to The Android Soul, the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is spotted carrying model numbers SM-A910x and SM-A910F on GFXBench and Geekbench respectively. Considering the performance on Geekbench, the device running on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with ARM octa-core Qualcomm processor clocked at 1.40 GHz has managed to score 1339 and 3926 in a single core and multi-core tests respectively.

There are no official details yet on the release date of Android 7.0 Nougat OS update to the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro smartphone users. The Nougat update for this particular device is still at the testing stage and it is reported that the build has already been prepared and installed.  It is requested that the users shall remain patient for the official update to roll-out.

In addition, Samsung has already pushed the Android 7.0 Nougat update to the Galaxy A5 2016 variant a few months back for selected regions. It is reported that company is currently testing the Nougat update for the recently launched Galaxy A7 2017 handset as well.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro holds impressive specifications and features. According to Samsung, the device sports a 6.00-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor paired with Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro packs 32GB of internal storage expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card, a 16-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a 5000mAh nonremovable battery. Stay tuned for more updates.
