Nintendo Switch Latest News: ‘Hearthstone,’ ‘Overwatch’ Among Big PC Games Possibly Coming

Games for the Nintendo Switch are what most are concerned about, something that the Japanese company cannot obviously do alone. It may take the support of some other game companies to broaden that games roster and Blizzard is reportedly willing to oblige.

If true, the Nintendo Switch lineup could include familiar PC game titles such as “Hearthstone” and “Overwatch” according to Express Online. Both game titles are well-known, particularly for PCs, Android, and iOS device owners. There would be no need for adjustments since the Nintendo Switch does come with a touchscreen display that should allow both card games to be playable.

For those unfamiliar with “Hearthstone,” the game does have a following. There are over 50 million players into it on computers and the mobile devices, an angle that Nintendo should seriously consider. Blizzard execs are open to bringing the games to the Nintendo Switch though nothing is certain as of this writing.

On the part of “Overwatch,” the enthusiasm shown by Blizzard game director Jeff Kaplan on the Nintendo Switch has sparked positivity on the possible inclusion of the game title via Reddit. He does add that there would be modifications needed though they are ready to explore other potential platforms.

If “Overwatch” and “Hearthstone” progress, Nintendo Switch gamers should laud the addition. To date, most games certain are the ones under the Nintendo brand. That includes game titles such as “Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” “Mario Kart 8,” and “Fire Emblem.”

There are several games outside the Nintendo circle as well such as “The Elder Scrolls V,” “Minecraft,” and “Dragon Quest XI.” There are currently 156 games listed as of this writing, including 21 exclusives for the Nintendo Switch, 5 from Nintendo and the rest from other groups. With plenty of PC game titles to recall, here is hoping Nintendo can pull some strings and broaden the game roster for its latest game console offering.
