T-Mobile LG G4 Latest OTA Update Fixes e911 Timer Issue

US Carrier T-Mobile has started rolling out a new update to LG G4 units on its network. According to the details mentioned on the magenta carrier's website, the latest update is coming with a monthly security patch and most importantly there will be finally a fix for the E911 issue with this update.

According to The Android Soul, LG G4 on the Magenta carrier is getting the latest firmware update as software version H81120v. The changelog mentions the update of installing Google monthly security enhancements that could be of April. The highlight of this update is that there is also a fix for the e911 timer in the update.

According to GSM Arena, right now there's no information on whether or not the patch included is the latest one, which is the current month of May. The latest update will take your device to the software version to H81120v, as mentioned earlier and weighs in at 88.7 MB. As is usually the case with OTA rollouts, it may take some time for the update to hit your LG G4 smartphone.

The latest update for the T-Mobile LG G4 is rolling out over the air (OTA). But if in case the user want is impatient and want to check for the update manually, then he can also head to Settings > About device > System updates. However, it is recommended that user of T-Mobile LG G4 should stay connected to a WiFi network before and during the starting the download to avoid any data charges. Lastly, the user should ensure that phone is over 50 percent charged.

Sadly, this flagship phone from LG is yet to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update and still running on the Android Marshmallow. However, according to a past official statement from LG, G4 smartphone will be bumped up to Nougat sometime in the third quarter of this year.
