Motorola definitely wants to spice up the budget smartphone market with its latest smartphone Moto G5 Plus. The smartphone has a base price of $399 and has enough quality to knock any budget smartphone out of the competition.

According to Gsm Arena, Motorola Moto G5 Plus comes in two variants. The base model comes with an internal space of 32 GB and a memory of 3 GB while the top model has an internal space of 64 GB and 4 GB of RAM. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset and has a dedicated memory card slot that can extend the capacity up to 256 GB.

Motorola claims to have the "best in class" primary camera in Moto G5 Plus and none can complain about it after experiencing the quality. The primary camera is a 12 MP, F/1.7 lens and is extremely fast because of its "Dual Pixel Autofocus" technology. In this specific price range, it is absolutely safe to say that the Moto G5 Plus indeed has the best camera in class.

Moto G5 Plus has a very fast and "large" fingerprint sensor. The size of the sensor makes it more easy and fast to use. The handset comes with a 5.2 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The crisp quality of the display is largely due to the 424 "PPI pixel density" with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920. Moto G5 Plus has a 3000mAh non-removable battery.

According to Finder, Moto G5 Plus is surely a budget smartphone that will deliver more quality than its peers. Geekbench 3's battery test result shows Moto G5 Plus has good battery life. Though not one of those "marathon battery specialist" smartphones, it will easily survive a day over a moderate use of applications.

The Geekbench 4's CPU test results indicate Motorola Moto G5 Plus has a better overall performance than the likes of Samsung Galaxy A7, Huawei Nova Plus, and LG X Power.

Some of the features that make the Motorola Moto G5 Plus more attractive than others are the price, camera, dedicated SD card slot, latest Android Nougat OS and the fastest-in-class fingerprint sensor. Though the design of the handset is not to die for, but the metal body does make a slight difference than the previous models. Motorola Moto G5 Plus is for those who are looking for a reliable and quality smartphone.
