After the successful launch of the latest flagship smartphone Galaxy S8, Samsung is now heading towards a new and important flagship phone, the Galaxy Note 8. As per the latest reports, the tech giant has already started the development of the devices' firmware. Currently, the software build numbers of the Galaxy Note 8 has surfaced and its code name has also already been leaked.

According to Sam Mobile, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is code named "Great". The upcoming device also has confirmed firmware numbers which are N950FXXU0AQC6 / N950FOXM0AQC6 / N950FXXU0AQC6. However, the Galaxy Note 8 is not the only Note phone which Samsung is working on right now.

Along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the report also mentions the software build numbers for the refurbished edition of the Galaxy Note 7. However, after a few weeks of rumors and speculation, Samsung has confirmed that the Note 7 will be going to be refurbished, though; it would not be coming to the United States. Refurbished Galaxy Note7 is carrying the firmware numbers- N935LKLU2AQD2/ N935LLUC2AQD2/ N935LKLU2AQD2

There is a really good chance that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will have some of the major features of the Galaxy S8 series. This will include RAM size, CPU power, camera specs and more. There are also possibilities that the company might boast a dual camera system on the Galaxy Note 8 series. However, things can still change regarding the dual-cam as Samsung could also be saving it for the Galaxy S9, as per GSM Arena.

As far as the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 release date is concerned, the company normally releases it on the second half of the year. The infamous Galaxy Note 7 was launched August last year so the company may also be repeating that schedule this 2017. Samsung has just unveiled its flagship phone Galaxy S8 and is yet to start the actual release of the product. This clearly means that the company is still pretty early in the completion of the Galaxy Note 8 series.
