After a year of wait, Xiaomi releases the next variant in its Mi Pad series, the Mi Pad 3. However, the Chinese manufacturer did it without making much of a sound by launching it in China. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is priced at around $220 with no plans on where it will be launched for now.

Considering the design of the new unit, Android Authority reports that the tablet resembles the previous model. Users will hardly notice a difference between the Mi Pad 2 and its successor. As noted by the website, the design resembles the Apple iPad's metal body with a textured back panel. Furthermore, it is reported that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 was revealed in champagne gold color with no updates on other possible color variants.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 Features, Specs

Under the hood, the new tablet features a 7.9-inch retina display at 2048 x 1536 pixels supported with a pixel density of 326ppi. Other notable features that accompany the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 are eye protection mode that lets users stay comfortable seeing it while using it at night.

There is also a feature that copies the e-ink screens as seen in e-book readers giving the display a black and white look. Supporting processor is noted to be a 2.1GHz MediaTek MT8176 hexacore processor that is supported by 4GB of RAM. The device also incorporates 64GB of internal storage, but no expandable memory support reports BGR.

Further Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 features and specifications report of a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP front-facing camera. A battery backup of 6,600mAh is also there with fast charging. The tablet accompanies the usual connectivity option including 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Whether the new model brought to the fans by Xiaomi will reach other parts of the world is yet to be seen.
