Apple is expected to pull out all the stops to give the consumers the best version of its flagship smartphone to date. However, reports are coming in that the iPhone 8 launch will be pushed back to October or November due to technical issues concerning the integration of key features.

Citing Economic Daily News, Digitimes reported that Apple's supplier is facing some technical issues with regards to the lamination process of the curved OLED panels, and the adoption of the much talked about revolutionary 3D camera sensing system. The newspaper suggests that these technical issues may cause Apple to delay the launch of the iPhone 8.

There has been little news regarding the current state of development of the iPhone 8 since Apple, as is customary, has been tight-lipped about the issue. The iPhone 8 is scheduled to go into mass production in September 2017, but that is only if Apple's supplier can solve the issues concerning the curved OLED panels and the 3D camera sensing system.

According to 9To5Mac, there are rumors online that suggest that Apple is in the process of developing no less than three iPhone models for 2017. If the report regarding the curved OLED panels and 3D camera sensing system issues has any substance, then Apple can launch the 2 supposed minor iPhone devices in September, and then launch the iPhone 8 in October or November.

Since it is Apple is celebrating its 10-year anniversary, the iPhone 8 is expected to come in with a full complement of high-end specs that would leave its competition in the dust. With the curved OLED panel and 3D camera sensing system already in tow, the next generation iPhone will reportedly sport new features such as a bezel-less front, wireless charging, facial recognition, and a virtual home button with integrated touch ID fingerprint sensors among others.

The 5.8-inch curved OLED panel means that the screen of the iPhone 8 will exceed the 2:1 aspect ratio. Meanwhile, Ming Chi-Kuo of KGI Securities has said that the 3D camera sensing system could "reinvent user experience."

Since the introduction of the iPhone 5, Apple has launched its newest iPhone model in September. With the iPhone 8 launch reportedly coming later than its traditional release window, consumers might think that the problem with the curved OLED panels and the integration of the revolutionary 3D sensing camera maybe too much to overcome.

Be that as it may, whether the iPhone 8 is released in October or November, consumers can take comfort with the fact that Apple will make sure that it can provide a vastly improved version of its flagship smartphone to commemorate its 10-year anniversary. And with history on its side, those same consumers can rest assured that Apple will deliver a handset worthy of its name, and then some.
