More video games are coming to mobile devices, courtesy of Gameloft, a French publisher, and developer of mobile games. It would bring the popular action-adventure video game “Grand Theft Auto” on mobile gadgets. Gameloft developed the new game, “Gangstar New Orleans,” the mobile version of “Grand Theft Auto,” which would release on mobile on March 30.

More Cars & Bigger World To Explore

Phone Arena reports that Gameloft has soft-launched “Gangstar New Orleans” in some countries, but globally, the game would be available on Thursday. Similar to “Grand Theft Auto,” the upcoming video game would feature a lot of cars and a bigger world to explore. Besides customizing their characters, players would be able to fuse, equip and upgrade hundreds of weapons, automobiles, gangsters and more elements.

The strategy to win in “Gangstar New Orleans” is by becoming a sniper and adopting a more silent approach, or be an explosive agent. Ahead of the March 30 release, gamers are encouraged to pre-register at www.gangstarneworleans.com, the game’s official website which would give players exclusive rewards.

Game Launched On Android Also

Droidgamers reports that in January, “Gangstar New Orleans” was soft launched on iOS. The game also launched eventually on Android too. The content is different from “Grand Theft Auto,” but the gameplay and how the game pans out is similar to GTA such as exploring the city, filching vehicles, committing crimes and others. But its addition to the franchise is more on the type of content, particularly in the open-world department.

According to the gaming website, there would be some slightly new mechanics for “Gangstar New Orleans” such as the inclusion of Turf Wars between groups of players by adding a more social multiplayer issue. The game is the first to go free-to-play in Gameloft’s franchise.
