Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Latest News & Update: Windows 10 Creators Event Seen As Perfect Time To Reveal Next iPad Killer

All eyes are on the Windows 10 Creators Event which is set for April but it may not be the only one coming out. Microsoft has a lot of devices on its end and one that comes to mind is the Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

It has been almost a year since Microsoft took the tech world by storm with the Surface Pro tablet, branded as the iPad Killer. While the current genre of the tablet continues to impress, the fact remains that most want a new one out in the open. One reason dished on the delay of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release was the availability of the Intel Kaby Lake chipsets. And as most know by now, those are already in transit, ARS Technica previously reported.

With the Intel Kaby Lake chipsets considered a major factor for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5, the Redmond company barely has enough reason to delay the next tablet installment. Many are under the impression that Microsoft has the laptop ready and all that remains is that missing chip. Could it come out next month alongside the Windows 10 Creators event?

Seeing a Microsoft Surface Pro 5 emerge next month is plausible with all the elements set, PC Advisor suggested. Aside from the Intel Kaby Lake chips, there are of course other features potential buyers want to see. That hopefully includes expanding the memory to 32 GB and a bump to 4K PixelSense display. The latter is, of course, a humble swipe at the growing rapport of virtual reality to devices to date.

Microsoft has its work cut out for them with the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. The Surface Pro niche does offer something extraordinary in the hinges which atone for its flexibility, the Verge reported. Looking at their competition, critics expect something more seeing that rival brands like Apple are ramping up features to make their technological breakthrough stand out.
