HMD Global isn't done wowing the Nokia fans at least for now as new rumors are indicating that the firm is now slated to release the brand's flagship iterations this year. And as they look, these smartphones are not to be toyed with.

Phone Arena reports that the re-introduction of Nokia 3310 along with the new smartphones from Finnish company HMD Global is just, in fact, its opening salvo. As cited by GSMArena, fresh speculations from China have hinted that the company is en route to launching its flagship smartphone in June this year.

The iteration will reportedly come in two sizes. Both sizes will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. In addition, the devices may be equipped with either 4GB of random access memory (RAM) or 6GB RAM for the more premium version. This chipset is notable for its only association with Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus at the moment. And as Samsung is planning to launch these devices in March, Nokia's release date couldn't have come more beneficial for the company.

Meanwhile, a dual camera set up should also be expected to be equipped in any of these devices. It noted that camera add-ons "PureView" or "Carl Zeiss" may not be armed with these sensors as the former couldn't be used due to Microsoft. On the other hand, a Carl Zeiss accompaniment is not possible as Nokia has previously announced that "it's out of the question." Nevertheless, a 23-megapixel camera sensor should come along in these devices' camera features.

In terms of their prices, rumors have indicated that Nokia might go hefty when they release these flagship smartphones. Accordingly, the smaller Nokia phone might be tagged with a price of approximately $579 while the larger variant might come with at least $652.

As all of the aforementioned information hasn't been confirmed by Nokia yet, it would be wise to treat these with a pinch of salt. The "Nokia 8" variants are all slated to be unveiled in June 2017.
