Nokia is preparing to unveil several new smartphones at MWC 2017 as it re-enters the industry. Nokia 8 is rumored to be among the devices to launch at the highly anticipated event. This was somehow evidenced by a recent listing.

According to Gizmo China, the Nokia 8 was spotted on the online Chinese shopping site Jingdong (JD.com), pre-selling for $460. However, the smartphone was featured as a third-party listing and did not include an official release date. Nokia has yet to confirm the arrival of the Nokia 8, as well.

The Jingdong listing of the Nokia 8 showed images that are similar to the concept renders that were previously leaked. There is currently no real live image of the Nokia 8 or any confirmation on how the device may actually look like when it becomes available. It is unlikely that the pre-sale listing is fake.

The Nokia 8 will reportedly run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Snapdragon 821 processor. It may also include a huge 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The screen will be flat, not curved, with an almost bezel-less layout. The Nokia 8 may also feature a 24-megapixesl rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and super EIS, plus a 12-megapixel front shooter. The handset may also have a metal frame and LTE connectivity.

The Nokia 8 is also said to arrive in two storage options. The first variant features 64 GB of built-in memory, while the second version comes with 128 GB of internal storage. Both models will have an expandable memory of up to 256 GB via microSD. The Nokia 8 or P1 may also come with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Based on the early renders, the Nokia 8 will come in at least two color options - black and silver.

A Nokia 8 concept video hinted that the device may arrive with 6 GB of RAM. Its camera may be its best feature, allowing users to capture clear and sharp photos. There are also various camera features and an HRM sensor that further enhances the quality of images.

Based on a report by Gadgets360, HMD Global event is expected to showcase the Nokia 8, alongside other upcoming Nokia devices like the refreshed Nokia 3310 and budget phones Nokia 3 and Nokia 6. The event is set to launch in Barcelona, Spain on Feb. 26, 2017. More updates and details are expected soon.
