Apple HomePod With A8 Chipset Launched At WWDC 2017

Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event started with amazing launches this year. The company has officially announced the most awaited home speaker called as the Apple HomePod. The company has launched the amazing home speaker with incredible features to take up against the competitors such as Amazon Echo and Google Home.

According to GSMArena, the Apple HomePod is less than a 7-inch tall home speaker with seven tweeter array on the bottom, 4-inch Apple-designed woofer up top with auto bass EQ. The device gets activated when the user calls up to its virtual assistant with a phrase "Hey Siri."

The Apple HomePod is reported to be powered by an Apple A8 chipset. The chipset is so capable that it enables real-time acoustic modeling, multi-channel echo cancellation, and audio beam forming. It is also claimed that the user can set up two HomePods and check out the device automatically work together.

Siri, Apple perfect virtual assistant has many improvements when compared at the time it was introduced. The Apple HomePod features include news, podcast playback, unit conversion, messages, reminders, setting alarms and timers, translation, weather, traffic info, sports scores, stock info, general knowledge and it works as a HomeKit bridge.

According to recode, the Apple HomePod home speaker has a price tag of $349 and is available in White and Space Gray. This amazing piece of development will be shipping in December in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

Other Apple announcements seen in the WWDC event are Apple WatchOS 4, iOS 11 including AR Kit and iPad-specific features, iPad Pro 10.5-inch tablet, and iMac Pro. Also, other announcements include New Macs, Mac Mail app, Photos app for the Mac and macOS High Sierra with Metal 2, a new software-based graphics engine and support playback of 4K videos with a new video compression algorithm.
