AMD is accurately on an extravaganza of launching its CPUs and GPUs one after the other. AMD Vega is the next big thing that is expected from the company, and fortunately, AMD has given a glimpse at the GPU at the AMD's FAD event.

AMD has showcased the Radeon RX Vega Frontier Edition, which is its Vega based graphics card for high-end customers. AMD has made clear that the said graphics card has been designed to address the specialized needs of professionals including scientists, content creators, and designers. Although it is capable of, the card isn't designed for gaming.

Being a top end professional class graphics card, the AMD Radeon RX Vega Frontier Edition will also bear a higher price tag too. The graphics card powered enough for any form of gaming but it's the price will make it unsuitable for the gamers, Racing Junky reported.

Now, however, AMD Radeon CEO Raja Koduri has urged patience, promising gaming optimized AMD Radeon RX Vega are just around the corner and said that "you'll be glad you [waited]". Raja Kodurihas confirmed that AMD will be launching a 'lower-priced, gaming-optimized' Radeon RX Vega graphics card really soon.

Writing in a Vega Frontier Edition blog after the event, Koduri said "The Radeon Vega Frontier Edition card is going to empower the pioneers creating the next generation of gaming experiences, but it does beg one question: Can you game on a Radeon Vega Frontier Edition? The answer is yes, absolutely. But because this graphics card is optimized for professional use cases (and priced accordingly), if gaming is your primary reason for buying a GPU, I'd suggest waiting just a little while longer for the lower-priced, gaming-optimized Radeon RX Vega graphics card. You'll be glad that you did."

For the Radeon RX Vega Frontier Edition, AMD has confirmed that the card will be their first Vega based card and it will be launched later in June. As mentioned in Raja Koduri's statement, the wait to get our hands-on the gaming oriented Vega graphics card is increased.
