OnePlus confirmed the arrival of OnePlus 5, the successor of OnePlus 3T smartphone in summer. A freshly leaked screenshot of OnePlus 5 coming directly from Chinese microblogging website-Weibo hints that the smartphone will come with a massive 8GB of RAM instead of 6GB as rumored earlier.

According to Gadgets 360, the OnePlus 5 screenshot indicates that the smartphone carries 128GB of inbuilt storage coupled with 8GB of RAM. It also shows that the device runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat on HydrogenOS. It is speculated that the device could arrive with two variants with 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and 8GB RAM with128GB storage.

According to The Verge, the company has confirmed the arrival of OnePlus 5 smartphone in summer. In addition, OnePlus recently released another teaser which reads 'Hello 5' and it was posted on the company's Weibo account with a caption 'Hey Summer! Give me Five.'

However, the report mentions that the company did not give any details with respect to the specifications and features of the smartphone. The exclusive naming of the smartphone as OnePlus 5 instead of OnePlus 4 is reported to have a reason. OnePlus 5 is also speculated to arrive with a 23-megapixel rear camera or a dual camera set up with 12-megapixel sensors (standard RGB + monochrome). The front face of the smartphone is expected to include an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies.

OnePlus 5 smartphone is rumored to sport a dual-edge curved display, hardware navigation keys, and slimmer bezels than its predecessor. In addition, OnePlus might integrate the fingerprint scanner in the front, a 3,600mAh battery and it is also expected to introduce the new Dash Charge 2.0. Stay tuned for more updates.
