'Tales From The Borderlands' & 'Abzu' Are PlayStation Plus Free Games For May

A title considered the most underrated in the library of Telltale and an undersea adventure are the two free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers in May. “Tales from the Borderlands,” the underrated game, is based on the Borderlands” franchise of Gearbox Software. The other free title, “Abzu,” is from Giant Squid that was released in August 2016 on PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.

Besides “Tales from the Borderlands” and “Abzu,” two PlayStation Vita games are also available to PS4 owners who are PlayStation Plus subscribers. These are the bullet-hell shooter game “Laser Disco Defenders” from Out of Bounds Games and “Type: Rider” from “Ex Nihilo. The two games are also free under the cross-buy program of Sony, Polygon reports.

Meanwhile, PlayStation 3 owners who are PlayStation Plus subscribers could download for free, beginning May 2, a hack-and-slash action game from Deck13 Interactive, “Blood Knights.” Also available is a simulation game, “Port Royale 3: Pirates and Merchants,” from Gaming Minds.

But for PlayStation Plus subscribers in Europe, for PS4 owners, instead of “Abzu” which is a lineup for North America, they would instead get “Alienation,” Express reports. Meanwhile, for Xbox One and Xbox 360 Games with Gold members, the British newspaper listed “Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams” (Director’s Cut) which is available for the whole month of May, and “Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris” which would be available from May 16 through June 15 for Xbox One owners.

According to Guiding Tech, “Tales from the Borderlands,” the first free game for PS4 owners who are PlayStation Plus subscribers, is a five-part episodic series set in Pandora. Players would follow Rhy and Fiona’s journey was the two attempt to recover wealth which the two believe is theirs. “Abzu” allows the gamer to immerse in an ocean that is full of wonder and life.
