Samsung released Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones recently. But the voice command feature of its digital assistant-Bixby was not available till date. The company has rolled out the voice command feature to the users of these smartphones in South Korea.

According to the Indian Express, Samsung has started to push the voice activated Bixby service to the owner starting today in Korea. It is reported that all the users of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphone are being notified regarding this feature. There are predictions made that this Bixby feature will hit the United States tech market by end of May.

In addition, assumptions are made that other tech markets around the globe will also witness this feature soon. The company's device features a dedicated button and it was one of the key features during the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones. However, the flagships were not seen with the voice command feature during the launch event because of the performance issue.

According to BGR, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphone Bixby voice command feature are currently available in two languages i.e. Korean and US English. There were three Bixby features available so far and they are the Vision, Home, and Reminder features. It is reported that the company has programmed Bixby in such a way that this voice command feature interprets one's natural language instead of making users memorize a standard set of phrases.

Bixby is capable of understanding the commands with incomplete information and prompts users to provide additional input for the required results. The Bixby Home feature is indeed the most important to the user as it collects and puts together the most relevant apps and services on a single screen based on the user's schedule and routine. Bixby Vision has a capability to scan objects through the camera and give related information with respect to the scanned object. Whereas, the Bixby Reminder sets alerts for the user based on their routine and location.
