Acer Aspire GX Latest News & Release: May Be The First Pre-Built Ryzen PC, Find Out Specs & Features

On Thursday, as part of its Acer Event in New York, Acer took the place to become the first major PC vendor to announce a pre-built Ryzen rig. This announcement was made without any early teasers. The Acer Aspire GX wasn't given any outage time and received only the briefest of descriptions in the Acer Press release.

Acer Aspire GX will be available with both Ryzen-5 and Ryzen-7 variants. The user has to choose depending on many cores he needs. The configuration includes quad-core Ryzen 5 1400, 6-core Ryzen 5 1600 and 8-core Ryzen 1700 or 1700X. It's certainly surprising that Acer becomes the first major PC OEM that will have a  prebuilt Ryzen PC, especially after being absent from AMD's initial announcement.

Moreover, there is been no news about the AM4 motherboard (that will house the chips). But for a pre-built PC like the Aspire GX, it can be guessed to be B350. It is just a guess and there is still no official statement from Acer. The Acer Aspire GX 781 gaming desktop offers some insane performance for its price. It also happens to be easily upgradable.

There are many people who prefer the AMD graphics cards. The only graphics option available is the Radeon RX 480. According to PC World, it will be swept by a newer RX 580 when the Aspire GX-281 finally starts shipping in May.

However, the graphics option available from GeForce will start with the GTX 1050 (the budget champion). It will go all the way up to the powerful GTX 1070. It will be really interesting to check whether Acer tags the Radeon Vega when AMD class cards finally launch later this year.

Acer is one of the top vendors in this segment. It will be interesting to see how it manages its fame when it finally starts shipping the first pre-built Ryzen PC. Meanwhile, for more updates on Acer Aspire GX stay tuned with us!
