Once the largest mobile phone manufacturing company, Nokia makes a comeback in the global market. The company announced the release of their Android phones soon in 2017.

To the dismay of many Nokia loyalists, the company decided to sell its business to Microsoft in 2014. In 2016, Nokia released its first Android phone, the Nokia 6 in China. In this year's MWC, the company announced its return, introducing its Android releases, and a sort of throwback to the famous retro feature phone, the Nokia 3310.

The announcement leads to conjectures that the release of the flagship models Nokia 8 and Nokia 9 would be seen in the third quarter of 2017. As mentioned in Pocket Lint, the phone shows the date 2nd June 2017. Word is that it might indicate the release date of the flagship model, specifically after the launch of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 plus.

Reports say that the Nokia 8 would be a 5.5-inch device with 2560x1440 pixel display with Gorilla Glass 5 and IP57 protection, 6 GB of RAM, running a Snapdragon 835 chipset. The handset is going to have a full metal unibody and dual cameras. Other features include 3200 mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor in the front. Rumors say that we can expect an impressive 22.6-megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss lens.

As per PC Advisor, the Nokia 9 would run on the Snapdragon 835 chipset as well, with Android Nougat 7.1.2 OS. It would have the iris-scanner and Quick Charge features, with a 3800 mAh battery. The display is expected to be a 5.5-inch QHD OLED with IP68 waterproofing. The fingerprint sensor would be at the back to attain the near bezel-less design.

Out of all the speculations of prices, the most likely price for the Nokia 8 stands at £550. Nokia 9 is likely to be priced at £634 for the 64 GB and £753 for the 128 GB variant.

Some reports say Nokia might even follow Apple's footsteps and release the variants in two different sizes. A lot is expected out of releases of these models. Loyalists can hope Nokia makes a good comeback in the global market.
